    Because Zack told me to...

    Draw-Cut
The Samurai is a walking arsenal of swords; mid battle, he sheathes his current weapon and turns the unsheathing gesture into a vicious close-range attack on another opponent.
    JP: 550
    Speed: Now
    Range: As Katana
    Effect: 1
System: Switch to any katana in your inventory, and then make a normal melee attack with your newly drawn weapon against an adjacent foe.
On the IRC channel a discussion about Samurai, Dual Wielding and this ability came up. Basically we have the following questions:

    1) If a Samurai, using the Two Swords ability, has two Katana relevant to different draw outs (let's say Muramasa in the Main Hand and Asura in the Off-Hand), would both draw outs (Muramasa and Asura for our hypothetical Samurai) be at full power?

    2) As above but would having two of the same Katana equipped give any sort of bonus to the correct draw out? (A samurai wielding two Asura using Asura for example).

    3) Does Draw Cut (notes above) only work for the Main Hand or can it be used to switch to Katana in the Off-Hand as well?

    4) Same three questions but with Ambidextrous.

Nope. A katana doesn't provide an actual power boost to a draw-out, what it actually does is remove a penalty.

Does wielding two one-handed weapons and using a one-handed weapon skill result in double usage of said skill?

    Samurai, Draw Outs et al:

Going to rule that Draw Out is main hand only. Doesn't matter what katana if any is in your off hand; it won't let you use another draw out, or grant any sort of bonus to Draw Out. Applies for Two Swords and Ambidextrous. As for Draw Cut, you can't use it to switch main hand and off hand weapons. You could use it to switch to a different katana in your off-hand, and then make a normal attack with that... but you wouldn't get a second attack with Two Swords, if that's what you use to equip the second one.

    Two Swords attack skills:

If you use a special attack or ability with it, you don't get to make the second attack.
